Job summary

Peoplebank is seeking a Technical Operations Specialist - OSS to support the operation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of critical OSS platforms used to monitor and manage telecommunications networks. The role focuses on ensuring platform availability, stability, and service performance in a busy production environment.

You will work with cross-functional teams and vendors, handling incidents, changes, and maintenance, while pursuing automation and improved operational efficiency.

Qualifications

• Experience with OSS technologies such as Ericsson ENM, Nokia NetAct, Huawei U2020, Cisco Prime, IBM Netcool, or similar.
• Linux/Unix administration experience.
• Experience working within ITIL-based environments, including Incident, Problem, and Change Management.
• Understanding of SQL and database concepts.
• Experience with VMware or other virtualization technologies.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and root cause analysis skills.
• Experience working with operational support teams in a complex technical environment.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, support, and maintain OSS and network management platforms to ensure high availability and performance.
• Manage incidents, problems, changes, and service requests in accordance with established operational processes.
• Investigate and troubleshoot issues, performing root cause analysis for major incidents and recurring problems.
• Coordinate with vendors, project teams, and internal technical specialists to resolve complex technical issues.
• Support application onboarding, project transitions, and operational handovers.
• Plan and execute upgrades, patching, certificate renewals, and other scheduled maintenance activities.
• Identify opportunities for automation and process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
• Support business continuity, disaster recovery, and resilience testing activities.

This role plays an important part in ensuring platform availability, operational stability, and service performance across a complex production environment.

Working closely with technical teams, vendors, and operational stakeholders, you will be responsible for supporting business-critical applications and platforms, resolving incidents, performing maintenance activities, and driving operational improvements.
