Job summary

CommTel Network Solutions is seeking a ServiceDesk Engineer to resolve customer issues on communications equipment, and participate in hands-on installation, integration, and testing.

The role requires strong English communication skills, a professional approach, and willingness to travel. You will work within a cross-functional team across multiple business units to resolve service desk cases efficiently.

Qualifications

• Formal qualifications in a relevant field (e.g. BSc, Graduate Communications Engineer).
• Understanding of, and/or experience with, communications technologies and network management systems — IP/MPLS, WDM, SDH, PDH, microwave radio, etc.
• Proficiency in Windows and Server environments.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Willingness and ability to travel.
• A professional approach to work.

Responsibilities

• Resolve customer issues related to communications equipment as part of ServiceDesk.
• Participate in equipment integration, installation and testing as required.
• Coordinate with vendor organisations for higher-level support to resolve cases.
• Support knowledgebase management and development across business units.
