Job summary

Canberra Health Services (CHS) is seeking a hands-on Technical Officer to join the Clinical Technology Workshop, supporting manufacture, modification, maintenance and repair of assistive devices for clients across the ACT. The role emphasizes collaboration with experienced clinicians and a multidisciplinary team, with a view to improving mobility, function and independence.

This is a full-time temporary position for nine months, with potential for extension or permanency, and includes

Qualifications

• Experience in fabrication, modification, maintenance and repair of assistive technology and clinical devices would be desirable.
• Ability to work closely with clinicians and multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality client outcomes.
• Motivated to learn, develop new skills and grow within a specialised clinical technology environment.
• Commitment to quality workmanship and client-focused service delivery.

Responsibilities

• Support manufacture, modification, maintenance and repair of prosthetic and orthotic devices, wheelchairs and mobility aids.
• Collaborate with P&O clinicians to ensure high-quality client outcomes.
