Job summary

BESTEC PTY LTD is seeking a Senior Fire Protection Services Engineer to join our Adelaide building services team. You will lead fire protection design and documentation across diverse projects, liaise with clients and design teams, and provide technical leadership and mentoring to engineers.

You will engage in design meetings, site inspections, and prepare technical reports while contributing to project planning and client relations.

Qualifications

• Approximately 5 years' experience in fire protection engineering within a building services consulting environment.
• Strong technical knowledge and experience in the design and documentation of fire protection systems.
• Experience across a range of building types and project scales.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to liaise with clients and other project stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a broader multidisciplinary team.
• A proactive and solutions-focused approach to project delivery.

Responsibilities

• Lead and take responsibility for the fire protection design and documentation of projects.

An exciting opportunity exists for a Senior Fire Protection Services Engineer to join our Adelaide building services team delivering high-quality engineering consultancy services to a broad range of clients. The role will provide the successful candidate with the opportunity to lead and take responsibility for fire protection design and documentation of projects, work across a diverse range of technically challenging building projects and provide technical leadership and mentoring to less experienced engineers.

Key responsibilities

Lead and take responsibility for the fire protection design and documentation of projects

Work across a diverse range of exciting and technically challenging building projects

Liaise directly with clients, architects, contractors and other design team members to develop high-quality design solutions

Provide technical leadership and mentoring to less experienced engineers

Attend design meetings, construction meetings and undertake site inspections during the construction phase

Prepare technical reports, assessments and advice for clients

Assist with project planning, coordination and delivery

Develop strong client relationships and contribute to the continued growth of the fire protection services team

Contribute to the development of innovative and practical fire protection solutions

About you
