J & P Richardson Industries – Eagle Farm QLD is seeking a Technical Officer (Electrical) to support electrical, hazardous area and industrial services projects across sectors including Fire & Safety, Process, Steel, Chemical and Life Sciences. Qualifications

• Electrical trade qualification and current electrical licence.
• Hazardous Area qualifications and hands-on HA experience.
• Extensive industrial electrical experience in manufacturing, process, chemical, steel, utilities or infrastructure.
• Ability to provide practical technical support and advice to site teams and customers.
• Strong communication, organisation and problem-solving skills.
• Current driver's licence and White Card.

Responsibilities

J & P Richardson Industries – Eagle Farm QLD

As a Technical Officer (Electrical), you'll support the delivery of electrical, hazardous area and industrial services projects across the Fire & Safety, Process, Steel, Chemical and Life Sciences sectors.

Working closely with field teams, customers and project personnel, you'll provide technical support, manage hazardous area compliance activities, assist with quotations and project delivery, and help improve the reliability and performance of critical electrical assets.

This role is ideal for an experienced industrial electrician looking to transition off the tools while remaining closely involved in the technical and operational aspects of the business.

Provide day-to-day technical support to field teams, including resource coordination, procurement and troubleshooting assistance.

Manage and support Hazardous Area (HA) compliance, documentation and office-based technical requirements.

Conduct site visits, inspections and safety audits across a range of industrial environments.

Prepare and manage quotations for maintenance, minor works and project opportunities.

Support the delivery of electrical projects by providing technical advice and practical solutions.

Assist with tender submissions, project planning and engineering support activities.

Build strong relationships with customers, suppliers and internal stakeholders.

Contribute to safe, compliant and efficient project outcomes.

What You'll Bring

• Electrical Trade Qualification and current Electrical Licence.
• Hazardous Area (HA) qualifications and practical experience.
• Strong industrial electrical experience within manufacturing, process, chemical, steel, utilities or infrastructure environments.
• Ability to provide practical technical support and advice to site teams and customers.
• Strong communication, organisation and problem-solving skills.
• Current Driver's Licence and White Card.

Highly Regarded

• Certificate III or IV in Instrumentation
• Automation and control systems experience.
• First Aid and CPR certification.
