Job summary

Virgin Australia Group is seeking a Technical Lead, Salesforce to shape platform architecture and deliver enterprise Salesforce solutions across Guest Contact Centre, Corporate Sales and SME. You’ll lead design, guide developers, and partner with business teams to translate priorities into capabilities.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in Salesforce architecture and technical solution design.
• Hands-on experience with Salesforce Service Cloud and Sales Cloud; Agentforce, Marketing Cloud, Revenue Cloud or CPQ is a plus.
• Experience leading or guiding a small team of employees, contractors or external delivery partners.
• Strong communication skills and ability to build relationships with stakeholders.
• Salesforce certifications are desirable.

What you’ll be doing

Our Technology team builds and supports the platforms that help Virgin Australia operate and serve our guests. We work closely with teams across the airline to make technology simpler, more reliable and useful in the real world.

Salesforce supports teams across 13 areas of our business, including Guest Contact Centre, Corporate Sales and SME, as well as Cargo and staff travel. As the Technical Lead, Salesforce, you’ll shape how the platform evolves and help deliver capabilities that make a difference across the airline.

You’ll partner with business teams to understand their priorities and turn them into strong Salesforce solutions, from enhancements to broader enterprise change. You’ll lead solution design, guide internal and third‑party developers, and contribute hands‑on where needed. You’ll also help embed Agentforce (Salesforce AI), including its current introduction into SME, and ensure changes are secure, reliable, supportable and ready for operation.

This role is a hybrid, permanent opportunity that can be based out of either our Brisbane or Sydney office.

You’ll be great in this role if you…

You bring deep Salesforce expertise across architecture, solution design and development, and can move confidently between business needs and technical detail. You enjoy guiding delivery teams and supplier partners while staying close enough to the work to contribute directly. You communicate clearly, manage priorities and dependencies, and make technical choices understandable to stakeholders.

• Extensive experience in a Salesforce role focused on architecture and technical solution design.
• Strong hands‑on experience with both Salesforce Service Cloud and Sales Cloud. Experience with Agentforce, Marketing Cloud, Revenue Cloud or CPQ is an advantage.
• Experience leading or guiding a small team of employees, contractors or external delivery partners.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships with stakeholders
• Salesforce certifications are also desirable.
