Job summary

Mott MacDonald is seeking an experienced Technical Director Security (Defence) to lead complex Defence, security-sensitive projects across Australia. Requires a senior electrical engineer with Defence facilities and secure infrastructure experience, SCEC Endorsed Security Consultant accreditation, and NV1 clearance.

You will provide technical leadership, mentor engineers and grow the Defence and Security portfolio while engaging with key clients and stakeholders across multiple sites, including

Qualifications

• 10+ years in systems design, delivery and leadership.
• SCEC Endorsed Security Consultant accreditation.
• Experience delivering Defence, secure government or high-security projects.
• Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Strong Defence security requirements and secure infrastructure knowledge.
• Excellent client relationship management and communication.
• Defence security clearance (NV1) required.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for Defence/security projects and secure facilities.
• Lead multidisciplinary project teams through full lifecycle from pursuit to handover.
• Ensure projects meet programme, budget and quality with safety compliance.
• Develop innovative engineering approaches for complex security challenges.
• Advise on security infrastructure designs in line with SCEC and Defence policies.
• Drive client engagement and market development in Defence and Security.
