Job summary

Mott MacDonald is seeking Project Managers for the Australian Defence and Security Division to manage multidisciplinary design projects under the Estate Works Program. You will drive delivery across the full lifecycle, mentor staff, and collaborate with internal teams and industry partners to ensure on-time, on-budget outcomes in the Defence estate, Canberra.

Qualifications

• 4–10 years relevant experience leading project delivery in building services, infrastructure, refurbishment, civil or maritime projects, with Defence experience preferred.
• Tertiary qualifications relevant to project management or engineering are desirable.
• Citizen of Australia and ability to achieve a current baseline security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Deliver EWP projects on schedule, within budget, and to high quality standards in a Defence environment.
• Foster collaboration across internal project teams and industry delivery partners.
• Proactively manage issues, drive decision making, and lead resolution pathways.
• Evaluate and mitigate risks for Defence clients.
• Manage and support technical and quality assurance activities relating to design and safety analysis of Defence infrastructure.
• Provide mentorship to staff developing knowledge and experience in delivery of major infrastructure projects.
