Job summary

UNSW Canberra is seeking a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Technical Cyber Security to advance research and deliver undergraduate and postgraduate courses. The role will contribute to short courses and micro-credentials, and collaborate across disciplines within the School of Systems & Computing.

The successful candidate will hold a PhD in technical cyber security, demonstrate teaching excellence, and engage with industry.

Qualifications

• PhD in technical cyber security or closely related discipline with professional experience.
• Experience in teaching, curriculum design and delivery at undergraduate or postgraduate levels.
• Evidence of teaching effectiveness and curriculum innovation.
• Commitment to inclusive learning, meaningful assessment and constructive feedback.
• Proven research leadership and HDR supervision where relevant.
• Experience collaborating with industry or the profession.
• Strong communication and teamwork across disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Develop scholarly research and raise professional standing nationally and internationally.
• Contribute to educational excellence and curriculum delivery at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
• Lead development and delivery of technical cyber security courses, including short courses and micro-credentials.
• Foster collegiality, engagement and leadership within the School and Faculty.
