Job summary

Noumi Limited is seeking a Technical & Continuous Improvement Manager to lead technical standards, food safety, and improvement across manufacturing sites in Australia. You will partner with Quality, Operations and Engineering to drive product quality and efficiency.

The role requires a tertiary qualification in relevant fields and a track record in HACCP, root-cause analysis, and cross-functional leadership.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Food Science, Food Technology, Dairy Science, Microbiology, Engineering or related.
• Experience in food manufacturing, dairy, beverage or FMCG.
• Demonstrated leadership across technical, food safety, quality or continuous improvement.
• Strong knowledge of HACCP, food safety risk management, validation and verification.
• Experience investigating complex product, process and microbiological issues.
• Proven ability to lead root-cause analysis and continuous improvement projects.
• Experience working with Operations, Quality, Engineering and R&D across functions.
• Strong stakeholder engagement, analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical expertise in investigating and resolving complex product, process and microbiological issues.

• Partner with cross-functional teams to improve manufacturing capability, product quality and performance.
• Identify opportunities to standardise processes and share best practices across sites.

The Opportunity

Reporting to the Head of Technical, this role provides Group-wide leadership across technical standards, food safety and continuous improvement, supporting our manufacturing operations.

Working closely with Quality, Operations, Engineering, R&D and NPD, you'll provide specialist technical expertise, strengthen food safety practices and lead initiatives that improve product quality, process performance and operational efficiency.

Lead the development and consistent application of technical and food safety standards across our manufacturing sites.

Strengthen food safety culture, HACCP programs and risk management practices.

Provide technical expertise in investigating and resolving complex product, process and microbiological issues.

Lead root-cause investigations and implement sustainable corrective and preventative actions.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on reducing product defects, complaints, rework, waste and quality-related losses.

Support technical risk assessments, validation and verification activities for new products, process changes and capital projects.

Partner with cross-functional teams to improve manufacturing capability, product quality and operational performance.

Identify opportunities to standardise processes and share best practices across sites.

What you’ll bring

We're looking for a collaborative and technically strong leader who enjoys working across teams, challenging existing processes and delivering practical, sustainable improvements.

A tertiary qualification in Food Science, Food Technology, Dairy Science, Microbiology, Engineering or a related discipline.

Experience within food manufacturing, dairy, beverage or FMCG.

Demonstrated leadership experience across technical, food safety, quality or continuous improvement functions.

Strong knowledge of HACCP, food safety risk management, validation and verification.

Experience investigating complex product, process and microbiological issues.

Proven ability to lead root-cause analysis and continuous improvement projects through to implementation.

Experience working collaboratively with Operations, Quality, Engineering, R&D and other business functions.

Strong stakeholder engagement, analytical and problem-solving skills.

Location: This role can be based at either our Ingleburn or Shepparton site.
