Qualifications

• Experience within the industrial, protective, automotive, timber, marine or decorative coatings industry.
• A sound understanding of coating systems, surface preparation and application requirements.
• The ability to assess customer challenges and provide practical technical solutions.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Confidence explaining technical concepts to customers.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• A proactive and self-motivated approach.
• Strong organisational and time-management skills.
• A current driver's licence.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical advice on coating systems, paints and associated products.
• Recommend suitable coating systems based on substrate type, service environment, application method and desired finish.
• Assist customers with product selection, surface preparation and application techniques.
• Investigate and troubleshoot coating performance and application issues.
• Conduct regular customer visits, site inspections and project reviews.
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships through technical support and service.
• Liaise with internal teams to develop solutions that meet customer needs.
• Stay current with industry trends, coating technologies and application methods.
• Identify opportunities to improve customer outcomes through alternative products or coating systems.
