Macquarie Group is seeking a Software Engineer for Investments Technology to support public markets investing across Fixed Income and Equities within Macquarie Asset Management. You will translate business needs into scalable tech solutions, partnering with investment professionals to drive automation, analytics and execution capabilities.

In this role you will work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, contribute to platform evolution and help shape technology that supports quantitative

Qualifications

• 4+ years of technology experience in Financial Markets, asset management or capital markets preferred.
• Strong software engineering experience with Python, React, Java and SQL.
• Experience using AWS, Apache Airflow, and both relational and NoSQL databases.
• Exposure to full-stack solutions and distributed systems.

Join our technology team supporting public markets investing across Fixed Income and Equities within Macquarie Asset Management, working directly with stakeholders in the investment management business. We translate business needs into robust technology solutions that support quantitative and market research, portfolio management, investment compliance, trading and investment operations, helping to improve automation, analytics and execution capabilities.

What you offer

• 4+ years of technology experience in Financial Markets is required, with a strong preference for experience in Asset Management or Capital Markets.


• Strong software engineering experience with proficiency in Python, React, Java and SQL, and experience using AWS technologies, Apache Airflow, and Relational and NoSQL databases.


• Exposure to full-stack solutions, with a good understanding of distributed systems, messaging technologies, and event-driven versus batch architecture.


• Ability to collaborate effectively with a broad range of stakeholders and communicate clearly; comfortable in proposing designs and gathering feedback from stakeholders.
