Job description

SYSTEMTEC is seeking a Technical Business Analyst for a long-term contract opportunity. Qualified candidates must be able to report on-site for three days / week (minimum). In this role, you will be responsible for both technical and functional support of field service applications.

Responsibilities for the Technical Business Analyst:

Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. We are unable to provide sponsorship or work with Third-Party agencies.
At least five (5) years of experience serving in a BA capacity by:
Interfacing with end users on existing business processes
Identifying user information requirements and developing ad-hoc SQL queries for analysis and translating results into custom report specifications
Developing and documenting problem resolution with both internal and external technical resources
Understanding system problem analysis and resolution for both local and remote locations
SQL skills – comfortable around DB; ability to read and write (SQL queries, etc)

Requirement Qualifications:

Experience writing and executing structured test plans; interpreting functional and technical requirements for both real-time and batch application interfaces
Previous work experience within an Agile environment
Knowledge of:
Tactics and practices of business analysis
Principles of robust software testing approaches
SDLC – System life cycles and development
Information Technology best practices, standards, and terminology
Ability to:
Troubleshoot application issues using SQL query tools and MS Excel, to prove a hypothesis
Understand and follow technical design specifications
Communicate technical topics to all levels of technology users
Troubleshoot a technology stack – client and server
Devise procedures to solve moderately complex information systems problems

Preferred Skills:

Application Configuration experience (any experience as a SW Dev or Engineer – big plus)

Work Location: This position reports on-site multiple days / week (3X).
