Job summary

Downer is seeking a Senior Technical Authority to lead governance, assurance and technical compliance across our national portfolio. You will set standards, oversee licensing and competency, and ensure work is delivered safely by qualified personnel across Australia and New Zealand.

You will drive risk management, continuous improvement and capability development while partnering with senior leaders to sustain regulatory and operational obligations. A strong engineering background is essential.

Qualifications

• 15+ years' experience in facilities management, infrastructure, property or related industry.
• Expertise in licensing, regulatory governance and technical compliance.
• Proven leadership in complex, multi-stakeholder environments.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or equivalent industry experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical governance, assurance and compliance across the business.
• Oversee licensing, permitting and competency frameworks to protect licence to operate.
• Identify, assess and manage technical and regulatory risks.
• Drive capability development, continuous improvement and technical excellence.
• Partner with senior stakeholders to strengthen compliance, performance and operational resilience.
