Job summary

Open Universities Australia (OUA) is seeking a Director of Technology & Cyber to shape the technology ecosystem today and build foundations for the future. This enterprise leadership role spans technology strategy, cyber security, resilience, digital workplace, cloud, SaaS and AI adoption.

You will work with engineering and leaders across OUA to balance innovation with security, risk, and business value, turning complex technical considerations into practical decisions for the organisation.

Qualifications

Senior leadership experience across technology, cyber, infrastructure or engineering.
Ability to communicate with senior leaders and non-technical stakeholders.
Strong judgement balancing opportunity, security, cost and business priorities.
Experience shaping enterprise technology environments, governance and investment decisions.
Knowledge of cyber security, risk, cloud environments and AI adoption.

Responsibilities

Shape technology strategy, principles and priorities across platforms and services.
Balance security, risk, cost and business value in investment decisions.
Establish governance and guardrails for AI adoption and experimentation.
Maintain enterprise view of cyber risk, incident management and resilience.
Lead and develop a service-oriented Technology & Cyber function.
Partner with Engineering and business leaders to solve cross-functional challenges.
