Tablelands Regional Council is seeking an experienced, accountable leader to join our Waste department as Team Leader Waste Operations. The role focuses on providing effective oversight of waste transfer stations and landfills, ensuring compliance with environmental and waste regulations, and delivering value to the TRC community.

The successful candidate will lead operations with a focus on safety, efficiency and governance, supporting a healthy work-life balance within a 76 hour/9-day

Job description

Our Atherton team is looking for an experienced, accountable and community-focused leader to join our Waste department as a full-time permanent Team Leader Waste Operations.

The Team Leader Waste Operations is responsible for providing effective and efficient oversight and leadership in the provision of waste and recycling services at the eight waste transfer stations, and active and closed landfills to meet the needs of the Tablelands Regional Council (TRC) community. The role ensures that operations at waste transfer stations and open and closed landfills are carried out in accordance with requirements of the Environmental Authority for the waste sites, in addition to relevant Waste Levy and Environmental Protection legislation.

• Base salary package from $96,246.73 per annum ($3,701.80 per fortnight)
• A range of allowances included in base salary
