Job summary

City of Mandurah is seeking a Team Leader Traffic Maintenance to lead a hands-on crew responsible for installing and maintaining traffic signs, bollards, and related devices. You will plan daily work, manage safety around worksites, and ensure work is delivered within budget and to engineering standards.

The role requires strong leadership, problem-solving and customer service skills, plus familiarity with AS1742 and traffic control practices. A 9-day fortnight applies to this position.

Qualifications

• Certificate IV in Civil Construction and Maintenance completed.
• Knowledge of traffic control standards and safe construction practices.
• Experience in leading field teams and coordinating site activities.

The opportunity

We are looking for an experienced and capable Team LeaderTraffic Maintenance who enjoys leading a hands-on team, solvingpractical problems and delivering safe, high-quality outcomes forthe community.

In this operational leadership role, you will coordinate a smallteam responsible for installing and maintaining the City's trafficsigns and devices, including signs, bollards, handrails, banners,tactile indicators, speed humps, pavement line marking. You willplan daily work, maintain safe traffic and pedestrian movementsaround worksites, support emergency responses, provide on-the-jobguidance and ensure work is completed efficiently, within budgetand to the required engineering and quality standards.

To be successful in this role, you willneed:

• Certificate IV in Civil Construction and Maintenance
• Current unrestricted MR (Medium Rigid) and C class driverlicences
• Current White Card
• Ability to interpret drawings and apply relevantconstruction and traffic control standards, including AS1742
• Demonstrated leadership, problem-solving, customer serviceand work-prioritisation skills
• Knowledge of safe construction practices, plant andequipment maintenance, estimating, costing, budget control andcontract management principles
• Good written, verbal, interpersonal, numerical, Microsoftand mobile technology skills
• Senior First Aid and Basic Traffic Management certificatesare desirable
