Job summary

Park Hyatt Sydney, nestled in the harbour precinct, is seeking a professional Team Leader - The Living Room to ensure impeccable guest service and flawless dining operations.

In this hands-on leadership role, you will mentor staff, manage reservations, greet guests, present menus and pair wines, and maintain luxury service standards alongside a dedicated hospitality team.

A passion for hospitality and refined presentation is required, with NSW RSA certification preferred.

Qualifications

• Proven fine dining restaurant experience and qualification in food and beverage service training.
• 1 year minimum experience in a similar role and environment.
• Current NSW RSA License.
• Well rounded knowledge of wines and beverages, coffee making skills.
• Basic computer literacy in MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Assists the Manager by ensuring policies and procedures are executed.
• Provides exceptional guest service and handles inquiries/complaints courteously.
• Ensures that food and beverage standards are implemented.
• Taking reservations, greeting customers, presenting menus and beverage lists.
• Recommend wines and dishes to complement food in a friendly and professional manner.
• Take orders and serve food and beverages in a professional manner.
• Provide table service including opening bottles, clearing tables, and refilling glasses.
• Collect payments at POS and cash register.
• Hands-on Team Leader, present during busy periods.
• Nurture and develop team members through coaching and training.

We are currently recruiting for a professional Team Leader - The Living Room.

About The Role

• Assists the Manager - The Living Room by ensuring that all policies and procedures are successfully executed.
• Provides exceptional guest service at all times and handles all guest and colleague inquiries and complaints in a courteous and efficient manner.
• Ensures that the food and beverage standards are implemented.
• Taking reservations, greeting customers and presenting them with menus and beverage list
• Provide guests with recommendations of beverage as well as dishes and wines to complement food in a friendly and professional manner
• Taking orders and serving food and beverage in professional manner
• Providing table service such as opening bottles and pouring beverages, clearing tables by returning dishes and cutlery to the kitchen, removing empty bottles and used glasses from the table and refilling / replacing glasses
• Collecting payments for sales and operating point of sales machines and cash register
• Is a hands-on Team Leader and is present at all times in the Living Room, especially during busy periods.
• Nurtures and develops each team member, maximising their effectiveness by developing their skills and abilities through appropriate training and coaching.

Qualifications

To be considered for this role the candidate should possess the following:

• Proven a fine dining restaurant experience and qualification in food and beverage service training, preferably diploma or certificate in Hospitality or Tourism management
• 1 year minimum experience in a similar role and environment
• Current NSW RSA License.
• Well rounded knowledge of wines and beverages, coffee making skills
• Basic computer literacy skills particularly in the use of MS Office.
