Job summary

Hyatt Hotels Corporation in Sydney seeks a Full Time Team Leader to join our Stewarding team. You will lead and develop junior staff, ensuring hygienic operations and adherence to HACCP and WHS standards on site.

You will work with Culinary and Food & Beverage colleagues to uphold hygiene, drive cost control, and maximise guest satisfaction. Leadership in a large hotel setting is highly valued.

Qualifications

• Leadership experience in a hotel Stewarding role or similar.
• Experience managing a large operation with multiple staff.
• Strong knowledge of HACCP standards and hygiene practices.
• Familiarity with WHS regulations in hospitality.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop junior stewarding team members with training.
• Ensure efficient, safe, and hygienic operation of the Stewarding department.
• Collaborate with Culinary and Food & Beverage teams to uphold hygiene standards.
• Drive productive cost control while maintaining guest satisfaction.
• Maintain HACCP compliance and continually improve cleanliness standards.

The Role:

Reporting to the Chief Steward, you will help ensure the efficient, safe and hygienic operation of the Stewarding department. You will motivate and develop junior stewarding team members, by providing extensive training and ensuring our cleanliness standard exceeds HACCP and food safety regulations. You will work closely with the Culinary and Food & Beverage team on making sure the hotel continually maintains and delivers all hygiene standards, adopting productive cost control measures and contribute to maximising guest satisfaction.

Our Ideal Candidate will possess:

• Previous leadership experience in a similar role– in hotel setting highly regarded
• Previous experience working in a large operation
• Excellent knowledge of HACCP standards, hygiene practices and WHS regulations
• Strong leadership and team management skills
