Sydney Local Health District, at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, is seeking an experienced Social Worker Level 4 to lead and supervise a team of social workers while maintaining a clinical caseload. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and motivated social worker to join the Social Work Department at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital.
You will be working at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital (RPAH). It is one of the nation’s most respected hospitals, with a distinguished history of serving the health needs of local, statewide, national and international communities. Our facilities and services are world class and our staff are dedicated, innovative and caring.
This permanent full time team leader position is responsible for the supervision and operational leadership of social workers within its team, as well as facilitating a high standard of social work service to our patients. The team covers the following clinical areas: orthopaedics, plastics, renal, gastroenterology, drug health, liver and haemophilia.
An eList will also be generated and used for the upcoming permanent full time level 4 Critical Care Team Leader. This team includes the Emergency, ICU, neurology/neurosurgery/stroke, respiratory, cardiology and cardiothoracic clinical areas.
You will be part of a large, highly skilled department working with culturally and socially diverse patients and their families. This position also holds a clinical caseload and is required to provide support to other areas within the hospital as needed. Applicants are advised that at times the position involves directly working with vulnerable people and people experiencing trauma and crisis.
