Job summary

Lyndons Pty Ltd in Mackay, QLD, is seeking an experienced Team Leader – Operations to drive on-site performance and coordinate the operations team to meet customer expectations and branch targets.

Based at our Mackay Branch, you will lead inbound/outbound inventory handling, oversee yard teams, manage stock control, and ensure health and safety standards are observed, with a focus on accuracy and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Current Forklift license (QLD) with extensive forklift experience.
• Proven work experience as an Operations Team Leader or Leading Hand or similar.
• Solid knowledge of Inventory handling and supply chain processes.
• Strong attention to detail with experience conducting cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy.
• On-the-job training and career development through the Lyndons Academy.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Yard Operatives, ensure safe equipment use, complete inspections, and report maintenance issues promptly.
• Manage stock control processes including receipting, purchase orders, transfers, and accurate system documentation.
• Communicate inventory levels, stock availability, and potential sales leads with branch, sales, and yard teams.
• Uphold Workplace Health & Safety standards, ensuring compliance, safe work practices, and a productive team environment.

About the role – Team Leader – Operations

Working with the Branch Manager, this position provides effective and coordinated leadership and direction to the operations team to coordinate on site activities to ensure the business meets our Customers’ expectations and to ensure activities are conducted in line with the expectations of the business, ensuring all processes and procedures are followed, in the achievement of the operational and financial targets set for the branch.

This position will be based at our Mackay Branch.
