Job summary

City of Adelaide is seeking a Team Leader, Infrastructure Project Delivery to guide a team of six in delivering capital upgrades and major infrastructure projects. You will lead planning, consultation and design, ensuring safe, efficient and high-standard outcomes for the community.

The role emphasizes project management expertise, commercial acumen and leadership to oversee the works delivery program, manage time, cost and quality, and partner with internal teams, contractors and industry

About the Opportunity

As Team Leader, Infrastructure Project Delivery, you'll lead a team responsible for delivering projects that make a visible difference to Adelaide. From capital upgrades through to major infrastructure projects, you'll guide the team through planning, consultation and design, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to a high standard for our community.

This is a role where your project management expertise, commercial acumen and leadership will make a real impact. You'll oversee the works delivery program and take accountability for the time, cost and quality of projects, while working closely with internal teams, contractors, service providers and industry partners to achieve value-for-money outcomes.

You'll also have the opportunity to shape how the team works. By building strong relationships, encouraging innovation and driving continuous improvement, you'll create a collaborative and accountable environment where people can do their best work and deliver great outcomes for the city.

About You

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • A tertiary qualification in a related field and/or a broad range of professional and technical skills and experience gained through a range of relevant employment, including at management level.
  • An appropriate mix of knowledge and experience to ensure that the projects for which the team is responsible are planned, designed, implemented and maintained at the highest standard and at the optimum levels and cost.
  • Working knowledge of current legislation, regulations, and codes relevant to the position.
  • Demonstrated ability in strategic risk identification and management.
  • Excellent customer service skills, including the ability to effectively liaise and engage with members of the public and community groups.
