Job summary

Uniting Limited in Morwell is seeking a Team Leader for the Family Services Program. The role involves leading a team of Family Services Practitioners, offering supervision and mentoring, and partnering with the Children, Youth and Families Manager to enhance service delivery and impact.

The role emphasizes consumer-centric family supports, outreach and collaboration across multiple locations, with a strong focus on safeguarding and parenting supports.

Qualifications

• Bachelor level degree in social work, psychology, social science, or a related discipline.
• Demonstrated ability and experience in the child, youth and family welfare field.
• Demonstrated experience in supervision and mentoring of staff, and proven ability to lead and develop multidisciplinary teams across locations.
• Sound understanding of family and parenting issues, especially in protective contexts.

Your new role

The Family Services Program supports families who are experiencing high levels of stress and difficulties that impact on parenting, family life and children’s wellbeing. Responding to referrals from The Orange Door, the program provides assertive outreach and home based supports.

As Team Leader, you will provide leadership, supervision and support to a team of Family Services Practitioners. The role work closely with the Children, Youth and Families Manager to lead the delivery and ongoing development of high quality, consumer-centric family services.
