Job summary

Uniting Vic.Tas Morwell is seeking a Team Leader for the Family Services Program. You will provide leadership and supervision to Family Services Practitioners and work with the Children, Youth and Families Manager to advance high-quality, consumer-centric services across locations.

The role requires a bachelor-level degree and experience in child, youth and family welfare, with strong mentoring skills and a commitment to protective-family practice.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability and experience in the child, youth and family welfare field.
• Demonstrated experience in supervision and mentoring of staff, and proven ability to lead and develop multidisciplinary teams across locations.
• Sound understanding of family and parenting issues, especially in the context of protective concerns.

Responsibilities

• As Team Leader, provide leadership, supervision and support to a team of Family Services Practitioners.

Your new role

The Family Services Program supports families who are experiencing high levels of stress and difficulties that impact on parenting, family life and children's wellbeing. Responding to referrals from The Orange Door, the program provides assertive outreach and home based supports.

As Team Leader, you will provide leadership, supervision and support to a team of Family Services Practitioners. The role work closely with the Children, Youth and Families Manager to lead the delivery and ongoing development of high quality, consumer-centric family services.
