Job summary

Kanda is seeking a dedicated Team Leader to oversee a Supported Independent Living home, delivering high-quality, person-centred care for clients with complex needs. You will lead support workers, coordinate daily operations, and ensure compliance with NDIS standards and organisational policies.

As a Team Leader, you will manage team meetings, mentor staff, and maintain strong stakeholder engagement while safeguarding client safety and dignity.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Team Leader in an SDA/SIL setting.
• NDIS Worker Screening Check.
• Strong understanding of complex health care needs and behaviour support.
• Excellent communication, organisational and administrative skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain smooth day-to-day operations of the house.
• Oversee presentation, cleanliness, damage reporting and medication management.
• Keep house folders updated and ensure safety checks are completed.
• Support client appointments.
• Lead team meetings and provide ongoing mentoring and guidance.
• Foster a positive, client-focused team environment.
• Communicate with internal and external stakeholders and attend meetings with Service Managers.
• Monitor client behaviours and maintain up-to-date safety planning; ensure VisualCare compliance.

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Team Leader to oversee operations within a Supported Independent Living (SIL) home supporting a client with high health care needs and complex support requirements.

About the Role:

As Team Leader, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality, person-centred care. You will lead a team of support workers, coordinate daily operations, and maintain compliance with NDIS standards and organisational policies.

Key Responsibilities:

Operations & Daily Coordination

• Maintaining smooth day-to-day operations of the house
• Overseeing presentation, cleanliness, damage reporting, and medication management
• Keeping house folders updated and ensuring safety checks are completed
• Supporting client appointments

TeamLeadership & Culture

• Fostering a positive, motivated, and client-focusedteamenvironment
• Leadingteammeetings and providing ongoing mentoring and guidance
• Thinking creatively, acting proactively, and maintaining a can-do attitude
• Supporting new staff through the Kanda induction checklist

Client Support & Stakeholder Engagement

• Communicating openly and professionally with internal and external stakeholders
• Attending meetings with Service Managers and providing valuable feedback
• Monitoring client behaviours and maintaining up-to-date safety planning
• Ensuring VisualCare compliance, accurate record keeping, and administrative tasks

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a Team Leader in an SDA/SIL setting
• NDIS Worker Screening Check
• Strong understanding ofcomplex health care needsand behaviour support
• Excellent communication, organisational, and administrative skills
• Ability to work collaboratively and adapt to changing client needs
• Valid Open or P2 driver’s license and access to a vehicle
