Job summary

State of Victoria is seeking a Team Leader to guide a team delivering counselling and therapeutic services through redress schemes. You will support staff in a victim-centered environment, ensuring safe, respectful care and accurate reporting.

The role requires leading improvements and coordinating with the department on priorities. For the fixed-term, full-time role, you will bring a tertiary qualification and strong leadership in a regulated public service setting, with resilience and empathy

Qualifications

• Team leadership experience in a complex service system.
• Victim-centred service approach with awareness of sexual abuse or mental health.
• Public sector experience in a highly regulated setting.
• Strong resilience and empathy when supporting staff in challenging work.
• Tertiary qualification in social services, business or public administration is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Guide a team supporting people through redress schemes and ensure safe, respectful staff support.
• Provide clear guidance and support to staff delivering services to scheme participants.
• Lead accurate records and reports about service delivery and compliance with laws and policies.
• Build positive working relationships and coordinate priorities across the department.
