Job summary

New Directions Australia in Marrickville, NSW, seeks a Packaging Team Assistant to provide day-to-day support to the Packaging Team across sales, administration and customer service. This entry-level, full-time role offers hands-on experience in packaging, design and branding within a fast-paced environment.

Based in our Marrickville office, you will help with quotations, orders, stock checks and showroom display, while developing accuracy, time management and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Entry-level role suitable for hands-on experience in packaging, sales and administration.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail is essential.
• Strong time management and organisational skills are required.
• Genuine interest in design, branding and packaging.
• Familiarity with SAP is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Provide general support to Packaging Management and the wider Packaging Team with day-to-day tasks to help facilitate smooth operations.
• Assist with answering incoming calls, responding to enquiries and providing a positive experience for customers.
• Generate quotations, process orders and assist with general sales administration, ensuring accuracy.
• Assist with stock checks and inventory control, and organise and maintain a tidy showroom display and storeroom.

Our Packaging Team works across sales, sourcing, design and customer service to bring our clients' packaging projects to life.

About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and organised Packaging Team Assistant to provide day-to-day support to our Packaging Team across sales, administration, customer service and general operations.

This is an entry-level position suited to someone looking to gain hands‑on experience in packaging, sales and administration within a fast‑paced and dynamic environment.

The Role

As a Packaging Team Assistant, your responsibilities will include:

• Team Support: Provide general support to Packaging Management and the wider Packaging Team with day‑to‑day tasks to help facilitate smooth operations.
• Customer Service: Assist with answering incoming calls, responding to enquiries and providing a positive experience for customers.
• Sales & Administration: Generate quotations, process orders and assist with general sales administration, ensuring accuracy throughout.
• Inventory, Display & Storeroom Management: Assist with stock checks and inventory control, and organise and maintain a tidy showroom display and storeroom.

About You

We're looking for someone with:

• A high level of accuracy and attention to detail (essential)
• Strong time management and organisational skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• A genuine interest in design, branding and packaging
• Familiarity with SAP (advantageous)
• Tertiary qualifications in Business, Commerce, Marketing or a related field are welcomed but not required.

This is a full-time position based in our Marrickville office and is available to Australian Citizens and permanent residents.
