Job summary

Adelaide University Online is seeking casual teaching academics to deliver online courses across Business & Law, Creative Arts, Education, Engineering, Health and Science. Expressions of interest are welcome for sessional teaching contracts.

Programs are delivered online with 10-week and 6-week term structures to suit busy adults balancing work and study. Applicants should hold a Bachelor's degree (and typically a Masters or PhD for 6-week courses) and demonstrate the ability to teach online,

Qualifications

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree and relevant professional/industry work experience (10-week courses).
• Minimum Masters or PhD (6-week courses).
• Ability to undertake online teaching duties in an online environment.
• Ability to actively engage and educate a diverse student group.
• Excellent written and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to use necessary digital techniques and tools required for effective online teaching.
• Available to work outside of normal working hours, including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Undertake online teaching as part of the AUO teaching team
• Apply disciplinary expertise to consult, facilitate discussions, mark assessment items, and provide feedback to students
• Implement approaches that maximise the student experience and learning outcomes
• Provide academic support, mentoring and advice to students
• Act as the first point of response/contact in managing student issues or complaints

Adelaide University Online (AUO) offers a range of 100% online degrees and aspires to be the best online education provider in Australia. Our programs are delivered across two distinct models:

• 10-week periods delivered over 4 terms per year
• 6-week periods delivered over 6 terms per year
