Job summary

Pacific Online Christian School is seeking enthusiastic Teachers’ Assistants to join our growing distance education learning community. This role supports teachers in delivering high-quality learning experiences and is available as permanent full-time positions and a 12-month parental leave cover from January 2027.

You will work with students with diverse learning needs, build positive relationships with students, families and staff, and contribute to the Christian ethos of the school.

• Strong communication and organisational skills are essential.

• Teaching support qualifications or training beneficial but not essential.

Pacific Online Christian School is seeking enthusiastic and committed Teachers’ Assistants to join our growing learning community.

We have both permanent full-time positions and a 12-month parental leave cover opportunity available from January 2027.

Pacific Online Christian Schoolis the distance education campus of Pacific Coast Christian School. About the Role

The Teachers’ Assistant supports teachers in delivering high-quality learning experiences and assisting students to achieve their educational goals. This role is particularly suited to someone who is passionate about supporting students with diverse learning needs and who views their work as a ministry and calling.

Key responsibilities include:

About You
To be successful in this role, you will:

• Have a heart for supporting young people and helping them succeed
• Be willing to advocate for students with additional needs
• Be able to work effectively as part of a collaborative team
• Have strong communication and organisational skills
• Have experience supporting students with additional needs, or a willingness to learn
• Hold teaching support qualifications or training (advantageous but not essential)
• Demonstrate a commitment to Christian education and the ethos of the School
• Be an active member of a local Christian church
