Qualifications

New Hope Christian Schoolis a special school providing Christian Education for students with a mild to moderate level of intellectual delay or Autism in Kindergarten to Year 12.This co-educational Christian learning community is committed to developing and nurturing its students. New Hope Christian School is located within the grounds of Pacific Hills Christian School and is a part of the Pacific Group of ten Christian schools, with six of these schools located in regional NSW. Job Description

Applications are invited from those with a passion for working with students with additional needs, who enjoy working collaboratively and who wish to be a part of a caring and innovative school community. Experience working with students with a disability is desirable but not essential.

To be effective in this position you will have:

• A passion to support students with special needs
• Well-developed interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills to work collaboratively with colleagues
• Initiative and capacity to work with minimal supervision
• Current First Aid Certificate
• Ability to facilitate a safe work environment
• Qualified or working toward a qualification in Education Support or a Special Needs Certificate
