Total Remuneration Package: Remuneration package valued at up to $156,253.00. Base salary ranges from $90,177.00 to $137,861.00, plus leave loading and employer's contribution to superannuation. Base salary rates above the minimum are available depending on experience.

Position Information

Bombala High School is a small rural comprehensive high school, with a current enrolment of 153 students, located in the southeast of New South Wales at the foothills of the Snowy Mountains, benefitting from close access to both south coast beaches and the ski slopes.

The school's mission is to provide pathways to success. Bombala High School achieves this through providing quality education in a rural setting by focusing on embedding quality teaching practices that meet the needs of all students. The school has introduced a range of integrated subjects designed to improve student engagement at school. We have a well-resourced Multi Categorical (MC) room. servicing both placed and integrated students.

Specific Selection Criteria

• 1. Approval to teach special education and/or experience in delivering high-quality educational programs for students with Autism, intellectual disability, emotional disturbance, trauma and complex behavioural or social needs in a Special Education setting
• 2. Highly developed communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to build positive partnerships with students, families, carers, school staff and external agencies to strengthen inclusive practice and improve student outcomes.
• 3. Demonstrated capacity to work collaboratively to develop Individual Education Plans and or Personalised Learning and Support Plans for students with disabilities.
• 4. Demonstrated ability to plan, implement and evaluate differentiated learning experiences using student data, explicit teaching and evidence-informed practice to maximise engagement and learning growth including multiple stages across the curriculum.

Conditions

An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
