Job summary

Trinity College in Western Australia is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Full Time Outdoor Education Teacher to join our team in January 2027.

The successful applicant will bring teaching qualifications and eligibility for WA registration, with strong hands-on experience in outdoor activities such as bushwalking, camping, navigation and ropes courses, all within a Catholic education ethos and a commitment to student wellbeing.

Qualifications

• Relevant teaching qualifications and eligibility for teacher registration in Western Australia.
• Sound understanding of Outdoor Education and experiential learning philosophies.
• Demonstrated practical experience in a range of outdoor activities including bushwalking, camping, camp cooking, navigation, expedition travel, ropes courses, canoeing, rock climbing, abseiling and caving.
• Commitment to student wellbeing, inclusion and the individual growth of every student.
• Willingness to contribute to the co-curricular life of the College.
• Commitment to the ethos, values and mission of Catholic education.
• Current aquatic rescue qualification such as a Surf Rescue Certificate or Bronze Medallion.
• WA MR Driver’s Licence with an ‘F’ endorsement or willingness to obtain.

The Successful Applicant Will Demonstrate

• Relevant teaching qualifications and eligibility for teacher registration in Western Australia.

• Demonstrated practical experience in a range of outdoor activities, including bushwalking, camping, camp cooking, navigation, expedition travel, ropes courses, canoeing, rock climbing, abseiling and caving.
• A genuine commitment to student wellbeing, inclusion, and the individual growth of every student.
• A willingness to contribute to the co-curricular life of the College.
• A commitment to the ethos, values and mission of Catholic education.
• Current aquatic rescue qualification, such as a Surf Rescue Certificate or Bronze Medallion.
• Western Australian Medium Rigid (MR) Driver’s Licence with an ‘F’ endorsement, or willingness and ability to obtain.

Successful applicants will be required to participate in the professional formation opportunities provided through Edmund Rice Education Australia (EREA) Colleges Ltd and Catholic Education Western Australia (CEWA) Ltd.

Applicants are expected to hold, or be willing to work towards obtaining, Accreditation to Teach Religious Education.
