Willoughby Girls High School, part of the NSW Department of Education, invites applications for a Learning and Support teacher to support Years 7–12 students, including those with disability and neurodiversity. The successful candidate will collaborate with teachers, SLSOs, parents and external agencies to design personalised learning pathways.

An unconditional full approval to teach is required. WWCC details should be included in the application.

Qualifications

• Approval to teach Learning and Support and/or experience, skills and knowledge to teach Years 7-12, with demonstrated recent experience working with students with disability, neurodiversity and additional learning and support needs.
• Highly developed interpersonal skills, with the demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with classroom teachers, executive staff, SLSOs, parents/caregivers and external agencies as part of a whole-school Learning and Support Team.
• Demonstrated ability to identify student learning needs through diagnostic and assessment data, and to design, implement and monitor individual learning plans and personalised learning pathways that improve student outcomes.

Willoughby Girls High School (enrolment 1052 students, including 64% students from a language background other than English and three multi-categorical support classes). An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
