Y Schools Queensland is seeking a passionate Teacher for its Brisbane-based, permanent full-time role at the Online Campus. This on-site position offers a supportive team and a focus on wellbeing, with opportunities to impact students from diverse backgrounds.

You will deliver academic and wellbeing programs, support vocational training, plan differentiated lessons, assess progress, and collaborate with peers to create a nurturing learning environment aligned with the curriculum.

Qualifications

• Hold a relevant University degree with teaching eligibility.
• Current Queensland College of Teachers Registration.
• First Aid Certificate and CPR Qualifications.
• Experience delivering teaching online and using Canva is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver academic and wellbeing programs to students.
• Support vocational training programs offered to students.
• Assist Head of Campus in operating the campus to meet objectives.
• Create a learner‑centred, safe and inclusive learning environment.
• Plan and deliver structured lessons with differentiation.
• Assess progress and provide constructive feedback.
• Support diverse learning needs, including disabilities and behavioural challenges.

Y Schools Queensland - Online Campus (pending NSSAB accreditation)

are seeking a passionate Teacher on a Permanent, Full-Time basis based in Brisbane. This is an On-site role, 5 days a week.

What will my time look like?

• Delivering academic and wellbeing programs to students.
• Support the delivery of vocational training programs offered to students; and
• Support the Head of Campus/School in the operation of the campus to achieve educational, wellbeing and vocational objectives.
• Create a nurturing and supportive learning environment which is learner focused, safe, supportive and aligned to the curriculum.
• Collaborate with like-minded peers to plan, write and deliver structured lessons that differentiate and personalise the learning for each student.
• Assess and provide meaningful and supportive feedback and report on student learning.
• Supporting young people with diverse learning and support needs, including disabilities, behavioural challenges, ASD, ADHD/ADD, and mental health needs
• Support our young people to know success!

Am I a good match?

• Hold a relevant University degree, current Queensland College of Teachers Registration,
• First Aid Certificate and CPR Qualifications
• Apply appropriate knowledge to plan and prepare teaching and learning programs to meet the diverse characteristics, needs and learning styles of students who are at risk of disengaging from education
• Implement effective, inclusive teaching practices, including the use of learning technologies and assessment, to create a supportive environment where students are encouraged to reach their full potential.
• Communicate effectively with students using strong interpersonal skills and implement behaviour management strategies that support a positive and inclusive learning environment.
• Expereince in delivering teaching curriculum online and expereince in using Canva preffered.
