Job description

St Michael’s School, Tallangatta is seeking a Classroom Teacher to join our friendly school environment. This is an exciting, fixed term part-time opportunity to be part of Catholic Education in the Sandhurst Diocese.

The Classroom Teacher works to ensure their priorities focus on quality teaching and learning, and the wellbeing of students and colleagues. This position is expected to maintain a high level of diverse educational methods designed to educate students whilst always adhering to the Australian Standards of Teaching.

The primary objective of the role is to:

  • Develop a stimulating learning environment by using a variety of styles and approaches to cater for individual learnings needs.
  • Support the Catholic ethos, traditions, and practices, and apply these in classroom activities.
The Position
  • Title: Classroom Teacher
  • Classification: T1-1 – T2-6, as per the CEMEA 2022
  • FTE per fortnight: 0.8 / 30.4 Hours per week
  • Employment Status: Fixed Term until 26 January 2027
  • Location: Tallangatta
  • Other Requirements: VIT, Drivers License
  • Potential start date: 31 August 2026
