The Gordon in Victoria is seeking a part-time Celebrancy teacher to lead the CHC41015 Certificate IV in Celebrancy. You will bring your industry experience to the classroom, guiding students through weddings, funerals and community ceremonies.
You will deliver practical workshops, role-plays and simulations, helping learners develop professional voice, judgement and confidence while navigating regulatory responsibilities.
You’ve helped people navigate some of life’s biggest moments. Now you can use those experiences to prepare others to do the same.
As a teacher in our Celebrancy program, you’ll bring your professional experience, stories and insight into the classroom, leading The Gordon’s CHC41015 Certificate IV in Celebrancy.
From weddings and funerals to family and community ceremonies, you’ll help students develop their voice, professional judgement and confidence. Through practical workshops, discussion, role plays and ceremony simulations, you’ll turn real-world experiences into meaningful learning.
With marriage celebrancy carrying important legislative and registration responsibilities, your expertise will also help students understand the professional standards behind the ceremony. You’ll work alongside experienced colleagues and industry specialists who remain connected to the profession, helping keep learning relevant and grounded in contemporary practice.
Step into a well-established program with quality learning and assessment resources already in place. As part of a newly formed team, you will contribute your industry expertise and help create meaningful learning experiences for the next generation of celebrants.
You bring warmth, professionalism and credibility to your work as a celebrant, along with a genuine desire to share what you’ve learned. You understand how much care goes into creating meaningful ceremonies and enjoy helping others build the skills and confidence to find their own professional voice.
You’re comfortable working with adult learners and value inclusive practice, cultural safety and high professional standards. Whether you already have substantial teaching experience or are ready to bring your industry expertise further into education, you’ll be motivated by seeing others grow.
