Job summary

Autism Queensland Limited invites dedicated Teacher Aide professionals to join our AQ Brightwaters campus on a permanent part-time basis, five days a week. You will work in small classes (6-8 students) within a specialised educational environment, supported by an interdisciplinary team including therapists and wellbeing practitioners.

This role focuses on wellbeing, literacy and numeracy development using neuroaffirming practices, across both primary and secondary settings.

• Experience supporting students in classroom settings.

Our P-12 independent school has six campuses across the state and is built on a strong foundation of Specialist Teachers, Aides and Allied Health Professionals. Utilising functional skills and assessments, our Teacher Aides will provide support to a class of 6-8 students with neurodiverse affirming practices and principles across a range of environments. There will be a focus on enhancing the wellbeing and holistic growth of young people through the development of supportive learning environments, quality communication and effective classroom management.
