Job summary

The Industry School on the Sunshine Coast is seeking a passionate Teacher Aide for a full-time eight-week contract from 6 October to 27 November 2026. Working alongside our Education team, you will provide classroom support, help keep students engaged and supported, and contribute to a collaborative, safe learning environment.

Experience with young people and strong communication are essential. You will assist with learning materials, wellbeing activities, and excursions while upholding child

Qualifications

• Experience working with young people in a classroom or educational setting.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Working with Children Check (Blue Card).
• Right to work in Australia.
• Desirable qualifications: Certificate III/IV in related areas and First Aid/CPR.

Responsibilities

• Provide classroom and learning support to students under Teachers.
• Build positive rapport and encourage engagement, independence, and confidence.
• Identify individual learning needs and support accordingly.
• Assist with preparing learning materials and activities.
• Support supervision during activities, events, and excursions.
• Maintain student records and learning-support administration.

About the role

We are seeking a passionate and supportive Teacher Aide to join our Sunshine Coast Campus on a full-time, maximum-term contract for eight weeks, from 6 October to 27 November 2026.

Working alongside our Education team, you will provide additional classroom support to our students, helping ensure our young people remain engaged, supported and able to achieve their educational outcomes.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working directly with young people and wants to make a meaningful contribution within a supportive and collaborative school environment.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Providing classroom support and learning support to students under the direction of Teachers.
• Building positive rapport with young people and encouraging their engagement, independence and confidence in learning
• Recognising individual learning needs and working collaboratively with Teachers to provide appropriate support
• Assisting Teachers with the preparation of learning materials, resources and classroom activities.
• Supporting the supervision of students during educational activities, events and excursions
• Maintaining appropriate students records and assisting with learning support administration
• Supporting campus activities including wellbeing days, induction events, parent insights, open days and graduation.
• Working collaboratively with the Education team to create a positive, inclusive and productive learning environment.
