Australian Christian College's Hobart campus seeks a compassionate Teacher Aide to support Junior Primary classes. You will assist teachers, help students engage with learning activities, and contribute to a positive learning environment.

This part-time role (60 hours per fortnight) begins Term 4 2026. You will work closely with staff, support social, emotional and spiritual development in line with our school's Christian values, and supervise students during breaks and excursions.

About the role

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Teacher Aide to support our teaching staff and students in the classroom. The successful candidate will assist in providing a positive learning environment and help students achieve their full potential, and will work predominantly with Junior Primary classes.

Key Responsibilities:

This part time (60 hours per fortnight) role commences Term 4 2026.

Essential Requirements:

• A passion for working with children in a Christian educational setting.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Patience, empathy, and the ability to work collaboratively with staff and students.
• Current Working with Children Check (or ability to obtain).
• Commitment to upholding the Christian ethos and values of the school.

Desirable Attributes:

• Relevant qualifications (e.g. Certificate III in Education Support or equivalent experience) desirable.
• Experience supporting students with diverse learning needs.
• Understanding of contemporary educational practices and classroom management.
• Ability to contribute to extra-curricular activities and school community life.
