Job summary

Saints College is seeking a part-time Teacher (0.6 FTE) to plan, prepare and deliver engaging learning programs for middle and senior secondary students. You will contribute to school objectives, support a trauma-informed, inclusive learning environment and collaborate with families and partner services.

The role requires tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience, eligibility for Victorian Institute of Teaching Registration, and a commitment to safe, respectful student development.

Our Team
Opened in 2025, our Sunshine campus provides a safe, supportive space for young people facing barriers such as mental health challenges, family disruption or school disengagement. Located in the Visy Cares Hub, we work closely with partner services to offer wrap-around support and help young people rebuild confidence and re-engage in learning.

Job Description

The Role

The Teacher is responsible for planning, preparation and delivery of effective learning and teaching programs for young people in middle and senior phases of secondary education; contributing to the development and implementation of the school’s objectives and planning; and contributing to the establishment and maintenance of a supportive school environment

You will be employed on an ongoing part time 0.6 FTE basis, commencingas soon as possible, and will be employed under the Catholic Education Multi Enterprise Agreement 2022.

Classification for the role is a Teacher, with a salary range of$79,589to $118,063(depending on education and experience).

You will need

• Ability to commit to and work within our Operating Principles; Respect, Participation, Safe and Legal and Honesty
• Tertiary Qualificationsand equivalent experience
• Ability to obtain aVictorian Institute of Teaching Registration
• Demonstrated high levels of ability in developing and implementing a range of flexible learning choices which meet the diverse characteristics, needs and learning styles of young people disenfranchised from education.
• Ability to develop engaging onsite curriculum.
• Knowledge or ability to acquire knowledge of the Victorian Curriculum, VCE, VM& VPC
• Previous experience and/or qualifications relevant to supporting and/or leading an organisations commitment to being a child safe organisation.
• Strong Interpersonal skills and a demonstrated ability to successfully communicate with a range of people
• Experience in supporting young people with disability and/or neurodivergence
• The ability to inspire and engage young people with learning activities
• Be willing to support young people and our team members to reach their potential
