Qualifications

• 6 years' experience in Australian public practice accounting.
• Strong technical knowledge of Australian taxation and compliance requirements.
• Experience preparing and reviewing financial statements and tax returns for a variety of entities.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
• Experience with Xero and cloud-based accounting platforms.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines while maintaining exceptional client service standards.

Responsibilities

• Reviewing (and some preparation of) financial statements and income tax returns for companies, trusts, partnerships, superannuation funds, and individuals.
• Managing a portfolio of clients across a wide range of industries.
• Providing proactive taxation and business advisory services.
• Assisting clients with cash flow management, budgeting, forecasting, and business performance reporting.
• Reviewing bookkeeping and assisting clients with cloud accounting systems, including Xero and MYOB.
• Liaising with the ATO and other regulatory bodies on behalf of clients.
• Identifying opportunities to improve client outcomes and support business growth.
• Mentoring and supporting junior team members as required.
• Building and maintaining strong, long-term client relationships.
