Job summary

Piper Fitzgerald Pty, a Newcastle-based two-partner practice, seeks an Intermediate Accountant to own a portfolio across companies, trusts and individuals. You’ll complete income tax returns, BAS/IAS, FBT, Division 7A and tax planning alongside the partners, seeing engagements end-to-end and liaising with clients from early on.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years' business services or tax experience in Australian public practice.
• CA/CPA qualified or part-qualified (full study support available).
• Strong working knowledge of Xero; MYOB experience welcome.
• Keen to develop client relationships, not just process compliance.

Responsibilities

• Own a portfolio across companies, trusts, partnerships and individuals with tax work.
• Prepare income tax returns, BAS and IAS, FBT, Division 7A and tax planning.
• Handle end-to-end engagements and interact with clients from early on.
