Job summary

KPMG in Sydney's Business & Tax Advisory team is seeking an experienced tax professional to advise private businesses, startups, family groups and listed companies. You will provide tax and accounting guidance across a diverse portfolio and engage with clients directly.

The role includes mentoring opportunities, collaboration with senior leaders, and developing technical expertise in tax and advisory services within a global network.

Qualifications

• Over 4 years of post-graduate advisory experience in an accounting firm specialising in Australian tax and accounting services.
• Bachelor of Business (Accounting) or equivalent from an Australian institution.
• Completion or near completion of the Chartered Accountant (CA) program, or an equivalent professional qualification such as CTA.
• Knowledge of common structures and corporate groups, and relevant accounting and tax implications.
• A passion for ongoing learning.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
• An ability to establish and develop effective professional relationships.

Responsibilities

• Provide tax and accounting advice and solutions to a diverse portfolio which includes small to medium sized entities, family and privately owned businesses, trusts and partnerships, foreign subsidiaries and small listed entities
• Further develop your technical expertise working across services including tax and accounting compliance and business/tax advisory work for middle market clients
• Play a key role across the full scope of client engagements including regular client contact and attending client presentations and meetings with senior leaders
• Develop into a mentor to assist other less experienced team members and encourage their continued professional development
