Job summary

PKF Melbourne is seeking an Assistant Manager to join our Melbourne team. You will collaborate with Managers, Senior Managers and Partners to review work, develop team capability, and deliver high-quality outcomes for a diverse client base.

You will gain exposure to a broad range of compliance and advisory engagements while developing leadership and technical skills in a supportive culture.

Qualifications

• CA or CPA qualification required
• 4-7 years in Business Services and Tax in public practice
• Experience reviewing work and guiding juniors
• Strong knowledge of Australian taxation legislation and compliance

Responsibilities

• Review financial statements, tax returns and working papers.
• Supervise, mentor and support junior team members.
• Assist with planning and delivery of client engagements to meet deadlines and quality standards.
• Monitor workflow and allocate work efficiently across the team.
• Be the main contact for client queries and day-to-day matters.
• Identify tax issues and develop practical solutions with Managers/Partners.
• Research and analyse taxation matters and provide client recommendations.
• Support tax planning and advisory projects.
• Ensure work complies with accounting and taxation legislation.
• Assist training and onboarding of junior members.
• Maintain strong client relationships and high service levels.
