Job summary

Lakes Grammar, part of Newcastle Anglican Schools Corporation, seeks a teacher for 1.0 FTE from 15 January 2027 to support TAS education across Years 7–12. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in education or teaching qualification.
• Registration with NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA).
• Knowledge of the Australian Curriculum and NESA requirements.
• Demonstrated commitment to the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers (AITSL).
• Understanding NSW syllabus documents and responding to student learning needs.
• Participation in co-curricular activities and school events.
• NSW Working with Children Check and National Criminal History Check.
• Be committed to school values and contribute to the team.
• Applicants screened for child protection purposes as a Child Safe School.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality TAS education to Years 7–12 and coordinate learning activities.
• Develop a culture of improvement with student-centred planning.
• Implement effective learning and assessment frameworks using data and benchmarks.
• Collaborate with head of school, executives and staff to meet school goals.
• Model exemplary classroom teaching and manage student behaviour.
• Record results, assessment tasks and work samples accurately and promptly.
