Job summary

Knox Grammar School's Senior Campus is seeking a Permanent Full-Time TAS Teacher to commence Term 1, 2027. The role focuses on Stage 6 Industrial Technology Timber and/or Metal, with a strong workshop background and a willingness to develop these subjects.

You will contribute to a dynamic TAS faculty, delivering engaging learning, designing assessments, and collaborating with colleagues to uphold Knox's values of Faith, Wisdom, Integrity, Compassion and Courage.

Qualifications

• Experience teaching Stage 6 Industrial Technology Timber and/or Metal.
• Understanding of Design Thinking, Systems Thinking and Computational Thinking.

ABOUT THE ROLE

An opportunity has arisen at Knox Grammar School Senior Campus for a Permanent Full-Time TAS Teacher commencing Term 1, 2027. We are seeking a teacher with workshop skills and experience in Stage 6 Industrial Technology Timber and/or Metal, or a teacher with a strong workshop background and a willingness to develop their skills and teach these subjects.

This role offers the opportunity to work within a dynamic and well-resourced TAS faculty, helping students develop creativity, practical skills and critical thinking capabilities that prepare them for the future.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:

• Experience teaching Stage 6 Industrial Technology Timber and/or Metal.
• An understanding of Design Thinking, Systems Thinking and Computational Thinking.
• The ability to deliver engaging and effective learning experiences that support students of varying abilities to achieve strong learning outcomes.
• Experience in the design, development and administration of both formative and summative assessment tasks.
• Effective classroom management strategies that support positive engagement and student success.
• A collaborative approach and a willingness to contribute positively to a collegial department with high expectations of both staff and students.
• A commitment to continuous professional growth and excellence in teaching practice.
