Target Tuggeranong is seeking a Store Manager to lead a high-volume retail operation in Canberra, ACT. You will guide store performance, drive customer satisfaction, and coach a large team to achieve strong results.

As a key leader, you’ll balance daily priorities with long-term growth, ensure compliance, and foster a positive work culture aligned with Target’s goals. A dynamic, inclusive environment supports your leadership journey.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading high-volume retail stores and coaching large teams.
• Strong change management, team-building and communication skills.
• Strong commercial acumen including budgeting, forecasting and hitting KPIs.
• Ability to build relationships at all levels and collaborate as a team player.
• Promotes a safe workplace through leadership and hazard reporting.
• Excellent planning and prioritisation to maintain productivity and efficiency.
• Maintain operational excellence in inventory, scheduling, compliance and store processes.

What will you do?

Our Store Manager's play a critical role in driving store performance and team success by leading operational excellence, delivering exceptional customer experiences, and developing high-performing teams. As a key leader, you are responsible for maintaining compliance, strategically managing financial outcomes, and creating a positive work culture that aligns with Target's strategic goals. You lead by example, balancing day-to-day priorities with long-term growth and development.

What are we looking for?

• Proven experience in leading high volume retail stores, developing and coaching large teams
• Have strong change management skills, with a focus on team-building and effective communication to foster a positive work culture
• Strong commercial acumen; including financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, strategic planning, and hitting financial targets and KPI's
• Ability to build strong relationships at all levels, manage expectations and collaborate as a team player
• Promotes a safe workplace through leadership and hazard reporting
• Excellent planning and prioritisation skills, whilst maintaining productivity and efficiency
• Maintain operational excellence in inventory, scheduling, compliance, store process and safety
