Job summary

The Kulcha House Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Cook for its Liverpool, NSW kitchen, focusing on tandoor and curry sections. You will prepare, cook and present Indian dishes to established recipes, manage marinades and ingredients, and help maintain high hygiene standards during service.

Applicants should hold a formal cookery qualification and have at least two years of commercial kitchen experience, preferably in Indian cuisine, with reliability to work evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or Certificate III in Commercial Cookery with on-the-job training.
• Minimum two years of on-the-job experience in a commercial kitchen, preferably Indian cuisine.
• Experience operating tandoor and preparing tandoori dishes is highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook and present Indian dishes including curries, tandoori meats, biryani, kulchas and naan per recipes and standards.
• Operate and monitor tandoors, ovens, grills, fryers and other equipment, maintaining correct temperatures.
• Ensure food safety, hygiene and storage procedures are followed; assist junior kitchen staff during peak service.
