Victoria University is seeking a TAFE sessional teacher to share your electrical trade experience with the next generation of students at Sunshine Campus. You will develop learning resources, train and assess students, and maintain accurate records to support course delivery.

You will hold current electrical trade qualifications (A‑grade licence preferred) and a Training and Assessment qualification (TAE40116 or TAELLN411/TAELLN401 plus TAEASS502 variants); WWCC is required or pending.

The Electrotechnology team sits within Victoria University’s TAFE division and delivers high-quality, industry-relevant education across the Electrotechnology industry.

About the Role

As a TAFE sessional teacher, you will have the opportunity to share your trade experience with the next generation of students. You will collaborate with other teachers in developing learning resources for our courses, as well as training and assessing students, and maintaining accurate records.This is a sessional teaching position working primarily at our Sunshine Campus.

Position Key Duties

Fostering a working environment that is respectful to all students and staff

Establishing and maintaining a positive learning environment

Contributing to the continuous improvement for the course by being involved with the design, development and validation of its training and assessment resources.

Maintaining accurate course and student records according to organisational and regulatory requirements

Salary:$98.34 per hours (teaching), $63.29 per hour (non-teaching)

About You

You hold relevant and/or current electrical trade qualifications in the electrical industry – A grade Electrical Licence preferred.

You hold a Training and Assessment qualification: Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116); or Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40110) with Address Adult Language, Literacy and Numeracy Skills (TAELLN411 or TAELLN401); and Design and Develop Assessment Tools (TAEASS502, TAEASS502A or TAEASS502B)

You are passionate about sharing your knowledge with the next generation of electricians and electrotechnology workers.

You have the Willingness to continually learn and develop as a TAFE Teacher.

You hold a current Employee Working with Children Check or willingness to obtain one.
