Iconic I.T Solutions in Melbourne is seeking an experienced Level 3 Systems Engineer to deliver hands-on projects across Microsoft 365, Azure, networking and security for SMB clients.

You will act as a senior escalation point for Level 1 and 2 engineers, deploy and manage Azure VMs, Fortinet FortiGate firewalls and hybrid infrastructure, and work directly with clients to implement secure, scalable solutions.

Responsabilidades

• Deploy and manage Microsoft 365, Intune, Autopilot, Entra ID, CA, Exchange Online, SharePoint, Defender.
• Build and maintain Azure VM(s), networks, storage, backups, VPNs.
• Deploy and manage Azure Virtual Desktop environments with host pools and session hosts.
• Configure Fortinet FortiGate firewalls, VLANs, IPsec VPNs, routing, NAT, security policies.
• Deploy and maintain Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, Hyper-V, hybrid envs.
• Deliver Microsoft 365 migrations, server deployments and cloud infra projects.
• Troubleshoot complex issues escalated by Level 1/2 engineers.
• Work with clients to implement solutions and resolve tech challenges.
• Maintain accurate technical documentation and identify optimization opportunities.

We're looking for an experienced Level 3 Systems Engineer who enjoys working across a variety of technologies and wants to play an important role in a growing MSP.

About the Role

This is a hands-on engineering position focused on delivering projects, deploying new solutions and managing client infrastructure.

This is not a traditional helpdesk role. You'll be working on Microsoft 365, Azure, networking, server infrastructure and security projects, while also acting as a senior escalation point for our existing Level 1 and Level 2 engineers.

Our clients are primarily small and medium-sized businesses, so we're looking for someone who enjoys technical variety and can deliver reliable, secure solutions without unnecessary complexity.

Key Responsibilities

• Deploy and manage Microsoft 365, Intune, Autopilot, Entra ID, Conditional Access, Exchange Online, SharePoint and Microsoft Defender.

• Build and maintain Azure Windows Server VMs, virtual networks, storage, backups and VPN connectivity.

• Deploy and manage Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) environments, including host pools, session hosts and FSLogix.

• Configure and troubleshoot Fortinet FortiGate firewalls, VLANs, IPsec VPNs, routing, NAT and security policies.

• Deploy and maintain Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, Hyper-V and hybrid environments.

• Deliver Microsoft 365 migrations, server deployments, firewall installations and cloud infrastructure projects.

• Troubleshoot complex technical issues escalated by Level 1 and Level 2 engineers.

• Work directly with clients to implement solutions and resolve technical challenges.

• Maintain accurate technical documentation and identify opportunities to improve client environments.

About You

We're looking for a practical, technically capable engineer who enjoys solving problems and taking ownership of their work.

Ideally, you'll bring:

• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft 365, Azure, Windows Server and networking.

• Practical experience configuring and troubleshooting Fortinet FortiGate firewalls.

• Experience deploying and maintaining Azure infrastructure, including Azure VMs and AVD.

• Strong knowledge of Intune, Entra ID, Autopilot and Microsoft 365 security.

• Experience working in an MSP or supporting multiple business environments.

• The ability to independently deliver technical projects from start to finish.

• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving and communication skills.

• The ability to guide junior engineers through complex technical issues.

• A proactive approach to learning and improving systems.

Highly Advantageous - Certifications, AI & Automation

Microsoft & Fortinet Certifications

Relevant industry certifications would be highly regarded, including:

• AZ-104 – Azure Administrator Associate

• MD-102 – Endpoint Administrator Associate

• MS-700 – Teams Administrator Associate

• SC-300 – Identity and Access Administrator Associate

• AZ-140 – Azure Virtual Desktop Specialty

• AB-900 – Copilot and Agent Administration Fundamentals

• AB-650 – Microsoft 365 and AI Services Administrator Associate

• Fortinet NSE 4 or higher – Networking and security certifications

Other relevant Microsoft 365, Azure, SharePoint or cybersecurity certifications would also be valued.

AI & Automation

Experience or an interest in the following would be advantageous:

• Microsoft 365 Copilot and its practical use within business environments.

• Microsoft Power Automate for streamlining everyday business and IT processes.

• PowerShell scripting for Microsoft 365 and Windows administration.

• Microsoft Copilot Studio and AI-powered productivity tools.

• Understanding of Microsoft 365 data security and governance when implementing Copilot.

• Identifying opportunities to automate repetitive tasks and improve operational efficiency.
